Thanks for my childwood dentistｓ - 右田先生、山本先生ありがとう

今日は、食べ物ぬきで感動することがありました。なんと、生まれてはじめて「歯」をほめられた。正確には、たくさん治療された歯の詰め物とかぶせ物です。フィンランドに来て、初めて病院にいった。タイをでるときに、とっても美しい歯医者さんから、神経までいってる虫歯があるからということで、はやく診てもらうようにといわれていたのです。レントゲンと検診の結果、虫歯はありませんでした。と言われた矢先に、この治療はどこでやったのかと質問攻めに。理由は、すべての治療がとてもすばらしく施されているとのこと。白金の素材といい、仕上げといい職人技のようです。
日本だよって言ったら、そうかとうなずいて、となりで記録をとっていたお姉さんにみせてもいいかと聞かれました。歯科衛生士さんだと思っていたら、歯科医の見習いだそうだ。うわあぁぁぁ、私が持って生まれたものではないけど、すごく誇らしくなった瞬間でした。ちなみに、治療が終わり帰ろうとしたら、もう一人歯医者さんが見に来た。あと3回くらい治療にいく予定だけど、何人くらいの歯医者さんにこうやって物色されるんだろう？
30分くらい治療室にいたけど、話の半分はわたしのかぶせ物の話でした。良質な素材とすばらしい治療のおかげで、今までやり直す必要がなかったんだと。もうかれこれ30年以上たつけど、今日あらためて気づきました
右田先生は、子供のころ通っていた歯医者さん。泣き喚きながら、随分けったり、かみついたりしました。本当にご迷惑をおかけしました。山本先生は大学の時にお世話になった先生。治療が丁寧で、ひとつの根幹治療に半年かけて丁寧に仕上げてくれました。治療しながら、いろいろなお話をしてくれました（中身はあまり覚えてないけど）。両先生に感謝です。

I had a moment to remember today, without foods. It was at the dentist office I visited today. My teeth has got a compliment first time in my life. Actually, it was for the crown and filling of my teeth. I was told by a beautiful dentist in Bangkok that I had one canal root infection that would require the urgent treatment. So, it has been on my to-do list upon my arrival here and I finally saw a dentist.
After some x-ray shooting and examinations of my whole mouth, the dentist told me that I don't have any problems. Just need some clean-up and adjustment. However, our conversation didn't end there. He started asking one question so seriously : where I have gotten the treatment. He shared his excitement and explained to me how much he was impressed by the finish and materials of the crown and filling. I told him that the most of treatments were done in Japan when I was a child. He asked my permission to let her assistance - the trainee dentist - see those and further explained that the materials  (white gold) and work were so great that it lasted long and still looked good. They no longer see such work in these days. I just realised that they were already thirty some years and I never had to retreat them at all.
I really appreciate two dentists. Migita doctor was the dentist I saw very often in my childhood. I hate to see the dentist. Every visit turned me to the worst behaving kid - cry out, kick and bite then refuse to open the mouth. He must be the great professional to complete the treatment under such violent situation with the long-lasting result. Yamamoto doctor was the one I saw in my university day. He spent 6 months to treat one canal root issue. 6 months by talking all the time in other contexts. I remember that I enjoyed going there, but don't remember at all what we talked about. Thanks for both doctors!!!
