Thursday lunch - 木曜日のランチ

今日はノキアハウス（ノキアの本社ビルの名前です）のカフェテリアのランチをご紹介します。いつもは、はかり売りのサラダをちょこっと買って、パンと一緒に食べるんだけど、たまにメインとサラダにデザートがついたしっかりランチもとります。毎週木曜日は、クリームとジャムつきのパンケーキがデザートです。フィンランド人によると、これは学校や社食など至る所で木曜日にだされるんだって。そういえば、イギリスのカフェテリアも金曜日はかならず、フィッシュ＆チップスがあったけ。日本にはこれに相当する食べ物ってあるかな？土用のうなぎはちょっと違うし。

I am introducing my Thursday lunch from Nokia House (NOkia' HQ"s building name) cafeteria.

My typical lunch is the small salad and a few pieces of breads, but sometimes I pick up the full-set of lunchmenu. On Thursday, there is always a pancake served with whipped cream and strawberry jam. According to Finnish colleagues, this is the tradition in every school or cafeteria on Thursday. I remember that Fish and TIps were always there on Friday when I worked in the UK office. Every country has some traditions like this. What do we have in Japan? We eat Unagi on certain day, but it is not weekly food...

この写真はデザートがメインみたいに大きく写ってますが、左手奥のお皿がメインです。ちなみにビートルートのパンケーキに温野菜の付け合せ。この日は、なぜかベジタリアンなメニュー。パンとサラダは取り放題。これに飲み物つきで、５．９０ユーロ。社員食堂なので、すこし価格が安くなってます。たまにお魚とかタイカレーなんかがでてくると、８－１０ユーロになります。

ちなみにパンはすごくおいしいです。毎日違ったレシピでいろいろな種類のパンが焼きたてででてきます。パンに入っているのは、オリーブだったりキャロットだったりいろいろです。このパンのせいで、炭水化物ぬきダイエットを続けるのはちょっと難しいです。

You may see the pancake as if it is the main dish, but it is the desert I wanted to show, epecially for my NOkia colleagues who are missing this pancake after stopped travelling to Finland. The main dish is on the left top. It is the beetroot pancake with steamed vegetables. I happend to have a vegetalian choice today. This cafeteria offers breads and salads all you can eat. The employees' price for this set lunch is 5.9 euro. It is subsidised price, but it can go up to 8-10 euroe when they serve the fish or Thai curry. I really love the breads served here. They change the receipe everyday and serve out of oven. It's really nice but make my non-carbon diet impossible.
